Hello, my name is Gemma Peterson. I am a wife, a mom, a grandma to two adorable boys. I am an Early Childhood Educator for over 20 years. I am someone who has an Entrepreneurial Spirit. I am a Wellness Advocate, Crypto Enthusiast and lastly, the President of this wonderful organization. I love learning and love a challenge. I am passionate about helping others and believe change starts with me.
Krista Scott
Vice President
Krista Scott was born in Cleveland, Ohio, lived in Baltimore, Maryland & Detroit Michigan for over 30 years between 2 states. In 2010 I relocated to Hampton, VA. I am the Founder and CEO of Kristyles Administrative Professionals, INC., I provide support to independent business owners, small businesses and churches. I provide support to clients in Michigan, Maryland and Virginia areas for non-profits, graphic designers, transportation companies, CPAs, Strategic Planners and more. I am also an Independent Representative for AVON. I joined AVON over 7 years ago but left to finish my degree and rejoined January 2017. I enjoy meeting people, building and motivating my team, networking with reps and using AVON products.
I have an Associates & Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Bryant and Stratton College. I have been working for Riverside Health Systems since November 2010. I am very passionate about supporting the community and working with grassroots organizations. I currently work as the Financial Secretary for The Historical Foundation of Aberdeen Gardens, the Secretary for Do Gooders of Hampton Roads and Vice President for Pretty In Pink Women's Empowerment Organization.
I am very passionate, highly motivated and very energized. In February 2020, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. During a pandemic I had to undergo a lumpectomy and 24 sessions of radiation treatment at the Riverside Radiation Oncology office in Newport News, VA. I consider myself very blessed and I am a 2 year survivor! I am grateful and thankful to the Lord and my family. In addition to working with the community I am an advocate for my family. I am a wife, married to Terry Scott, Retired Army Veteran, son Nathaniel, a Bethel High School student, son Donald an Army Veteran, and a bonus son Dakota, a Woodside High School student. I am also the grandmother of 7 amazing grandchildren.

I was born and raised in Winter Park, Florida. Graduated from Vashti School in Thomasville, Georgia. Served in the United States Army from 1966-1968 and again from 1977-1983. Honorable discharge, proud US Army Vietnam Era Disabled Veteran. Came to Virgina via the military in 1968. Attended 2 years at Thomas Nelson Community College and 2 years at Norfolk State University working towards a degree in Corrective Therapy with a minor in Physical Education.
Married in 1968, I also have 3 children, 1 grandchild and 2 (God intended)
granddaughters.
Worked at the Hampton VA Hospital, New Hampton, INC, Riverside Hospital, Hampton General, 7-11 and as a Nanny for 2 girls for over 20 years.
Worked with and was on the board of Hampton 4H, Hampton Special Olympics, Member of the Do Gooders of Hampton Roads, and held several offices within the American Legion. Currently serving on the board of Pretty In Pink Women's Empowerment Organization as Secretary.

My name is Glennis Royster. I'm the CEO of Pooh's Craft House. I'm the wife of Clinton Turner and we've been married for 8 years. I'm 36 years of age. I graduated in the field of Massage Therapy in 2014. I also have a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Bryant and Stratton College in 2016. I have a furbaby her name is Honey. I volunteer for multiple non profit organizations in the Hampton Roads area. I'm the Project Manager for Pretty In Pink Women's Empowerment Organization and an Assistant Secretary for the Do Gooders of Hampton Roads.

Terrietta Hall Blair fondly know as Terre. I serve as the HR Representative for Pretty In Pink Women's Empowerment Organization. I am currently working in the Richmond area. In December 2022 I graduated from Hampton University with a Bachelor's Degree in Arts & General Studies and I also have a Certificate in Human Resources.
I am the proud Grandmother of 13 Grandchildren and Mother of 4 amazing children along with so many bonus children. My passion is serving people, dancing and old movies. My talents include comedy, poetry, spoken word, theater and mime. I have been miming since 1995. As a mimer I love to express myself and what God means to me. I love the Lord and will continue to magnify Him!
Whalan McDew, born in Goldsboro, North Carolina and raised in Hampton, Virginia. I am a community activist in Hampton Roads and my purpose is to be a part of the change in this area.
I am a veteran of the United States Army. The training I acquired while serving in the Armed Forces has equipped me to be a very disciplined and dedicated man to my community. I also have an Associates of Applied Sciences Degree and I am currently a student at Old Dominion University where I study Human Services with a concentration on substance use disorders.
I am a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, an Advisory committee member of Y.H. Thomas Community Center in Hampton, VA, Marketing Commissioner with the Neighborhood Commission with the City of Hampton, a member of the Thomas Nelson Community College Alumni Board, President of the Do Gooders of Hampton Roads, President of the Shell Road Community Association, Chairman of Pretty In Pink Women's Empowerment Organization, Program Coordinator for the Fresh Start Job Readiness Program at the Center for Child & Family Services and a Trustee as well as President of the Usher Board at Gethsemane Baptist Church in Newport News, Virginia.
My name is DeShay Taylor. I am a member of the Air Force National Guard and have been a part of this organization for the last 3 years. I am a certified Personal Care Assistant and I am currently enrolled in the Nursing Program at Virginia Peninsula Community College and I have studied Business Management at Bridgewater College in 2018. I am also an alumni of Phoebus High School in Hampton, Virginia. I graduated with honors with the class of 2018. I am the Assistant Manager for Pretty In Pink Women's Empowerment Organization and have been involved in community work for over 10 years. I love to help others and I am looking forward to bringing a bright innovative outlook to all who come in contact with us!
I am Katrice Floyd and I currently live in Suffolk, VA with my wonderful husband and youngest daughter. I am a proud mother and grandmother of some amazing young people. I was raised in Hampton, VA with a large family. I attended Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA and Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA.

Faith, Family and Community is first in my life. I love spending quality time with my family and friends. Making memories that will last a lifetime and also learning and growing from one another.
I have been working in my community for many years starting as a youth. My mother instilled in me the importance of servitude. I have volunteered with many organizations ranging from The Food Bank of United Way.
I'm passionate about the youth, our seniors and the community as a whole. I currently volunteer for Senior Services of SE VA, where I teach seniors technology skills to help them stay connected to family and the community. I also volunteer my time at Hope for Suffolk's Youth Farm program, a hands-on learning experience where teens learn about agriculture while helping feed the community.
In my professional life, I work for a financial institution as a Sr.Analyst Manager of Customer Experience in the mortgage division of the bank. I have in this industry for over 11 years. I love what I do. I make a difference everyday to the organization and their shareholders making sure my values and goals align with the company.

Hello everyone! My name is Tomika Simms & I am the Executive Director of Pretty In Pink Women's Empowerment Organization. I am a woman of God, (Proverbs 31), a wife, mom, grandmother, serial entrepreneur, innovator and creative human being. I love to meet new people, help out in my community and learn each and everyday.
I am a 20 year Combat Veteran & Retired from the VA Army National Guard and I worked for DOD DSCR in Richmond as a Budget Analyst for 4 years. I walked away from a great career to work full time for myself and to serve my community. I am honored that the good Lord entrusted me with this vision to empower women which also brings the family together to make them a stronger unit. I am learning that the more I share my vision with others this concept helps men to understand women and we learn how to understand me in order to come together to become a unified family that is unstoppable at obtaining all the blessings of God for ourselves and generations to come!
